Replace a negative with a positive.

Combine a horizontal line with a vertical.

Find a balance between action and the cognitive.

However  this process is all but surgical.

                                                                              Positivity is not always visible.

                                                                              Negativity over shadows its authority.

Its effects are not always easily dismissible.

You just have to realise what is your primary priority.

                                          These mentalities regularly intertwine.

And have become apart of our genetic design.

Anything can trigger a change in your attitude.

And this will then determine your emotional latitude.

Vision: 5/5

The subject matter are two intangible emotions, yet you show how powerful each is and how they work together day to day.

Originality: 5/5

Use of words like 'surgical,' 'authority,' 'priority' throws into shock relief an individual's perception of Positive and Negative, and reminds that each state of being is a choice.

Technique: 4.5/5

The process is all but surgical.

:bullegreeen: Word Choice: Omit the use of 'however' and other transition words in your poetry. The line gains more strength when you focus on the Subject of the sentence - Process.

Impact: 5/5

Having struggled with depression, doubt, and other all-consuming negative feelings, I am drawn to this poem as a reminder that there is a reason to look at the word as "light" rather than "dark."
