How do I know where I stand?
How do I know what I'm worth?
How do I know what I am?
If you don't tell me.

She Believed
I stumble through my mind,
Weakened by the pain of years.
I always search but cannot find
The source of all my bitter tears.
I see a light, an anchor, a hope;
I limp faster, relieved by the sight.
I found a gentle, downward slope
Like a rescue from a blight.
I lean on you, no longer afraid;
Finally I have found relief.
Tears dry, memories fade,
Like wind carries a wilted leaf.
But in the end, it wasn't true
You held my heart yet let it die.
My anchor became my noose;
My trust was blinded to your lie.
How could I be so ignorant?
You pledged to never leave my side.
There's none to blame but myself

It Came From The Dark
It Came From The Dark:
Amongst the ashes, swirling from the darkness of the pit,
Emerged a hand, dragging a battered body across the rocks.
Blood leaked from the wounds so callously self-inflicted,
And teeth ground with a focused determination and seething anger.
It cared not for the warm rubies - staining the jagged rocks,
It cared not for the sensation of pain...
All that it remembered was a dream, An obsession -
One that drove it ever higher; ignoring all else!
Eventually it emerged from this shadowy hole, this dreary depth,
And in that moment, it learned of the truth.
For this creature, denied sunlight and warmth -
was me...

If you'll forget
Have you ever watched raindrops on a pane of glass? They glide and eventually submerge into other raindrops and the more tears collide, the faster they fall until eventually they seep away.
That is life.
You are still until a single drop splashes on your head; you begin your slow walk downhill. Then drops and drops, big and small, come crashing and running. Crashing and running and shoving you downhill until you break your crown.
These are the "obstacles" in life. The traumas, the unluckies, the people, the horrors, the words, the fists, the illnesses, the stories these are the things that will kill you.
There is a heaviness

I tried to go for simplicity with this one. Use minimal words to make a big impact. Limiting the number of words to limit myself making every punctuation and sentence structure is right. I hope it worked been thinking about this one for a while. Let me know what you think
